Dafforn Family webpage - Mailing lists for the family name

A mailing list has been set up, very soon there will be details in this area on how to join in the list and participate, there will also be links to the archives of the lsit. I don't expect the list to have a heavy usage. It is however an excellent way of carrying pertinent and usful information directly to those who use it. it is currently on a free server and does carry advertsing, As soon as I can join the Rootsweb organisation I will setup a list through them that is advert free.

The Midlands of England, where most of the family name originated from has two excellent mailing lists, one is for people living in Warwickshire and is called Warwick-L, information about subscribing to this list can be found by clicking here.

The other mailing list is Midmarch and covers Worcestershire, some of Warwickshire (probably the southern part is where I have had success) and surrounding counties to the north and west of Birmingham, information about subscribing to this list can be found by clicking here.

I highly recommend these lists as research aids, I have received much help from people and found distant relations.
