What is a stray you ask. A stray is a mention of a person within a record that is totally out of the way from where that person may come from. An example would be someone going up to Edinburgh in Scotland to get married, then bringing his wife home. the record of that marriage may not have been recorded on the IGI and was found during a search of that particular church records. Whenever a stray is found, or if anyone finds a stray please email Alan and it will be included in a list in this section.
